Welcome!

Welcome to the learning4housing blog. I will be posting my thoughts and opinions on a range of issues facing the social housing sector. You are more than welcome to post your comments, whether you agree or disagree on the points. The aim here is to stimulate some debate on these issues, whether they are about current government policy or about best practice in housing management or strategy.

Blended Learning

Learning4housing is proud to announce two new Blended Learning programmes as part of our overall portfolio of training and development services.

Blended learning takes the best aspects of face-to-face learning environments, and links this with e-learning exercises which are undertaken separately. These e-learning exercises are assessed and supportive feedback is provided to each learner. There are clearly advantages and disadvantages to each of these approaches, but combining the two addresses any shortcoming that there may be, to give a genuine blended approach to learning new skills, new knowledge and developing new competencies and abilities. In this way, participants are more likely to use these in the way they work, as learning becomes more embedded into changed behaviour patterns.

At present, we are offering two Blended Learning programmes - one dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour, and one addressing Resident Involvement. Each programme is designed according to the specific needs of your organisation and of those participating. Two face-to-face workshops provide a basis for sharing discussions and pratical exercises, whilst on-line resources allow learners to discover more in-depth issues around the subjects and to complete learning tasks which are assessed with feedback.

These programmes are currently available on an in-house basis All you need to provide is a suitable venue, refreshments, and some enthusiastic learners. We do the rest - all for a totally inclusive price of £995 + VAT (and that's for up to 18 people - NOT per person!)

If this is of some interest to you and you would like further information or to discuss your specific needs, please contact me, David Wardle on 07986 246406, or at david@learning4housing.co.uk. More information on learning4housing can also be found here www.learning4housing.co.uk
