Welcome!

Welcome to the learning4housing blog. I will be posting my thoughts and opinions on a range of issues facing the social housing sector. You are more than welcome to post your comments, whether you agree or disagree on the points. The aim here is to stimulate some debate on these issues, whether they are about current government policy or about best practice in housing management or strategy.

New 'Pick & Mix' Training Packages!

In today's financial climate, we are all looking for better value for money without losing out on quality. This can be a tough circle to square, but here at learning4housing, we are committed to providing just that. In an effort to develop something new for our customers, we are now offering an innovative package of training services which gives you the choice to 'pick and mix' to meet your specific needs.

The idea is that you can select as many of the following subjects as you want to make up a full day - or half day training session. The subjects include:

  • Introduction to social housing
  • Introduction to housing management
  • Anti-social behaviour - legal and non-legal remedies
  • Tenant involvement
  • Allocations and lettings
  • Introduction to tenant scrutiny
  • Controlling your voids
  • Income management
  • Introduction to homelessness
You can choose as many or as few as you wish - bearing in mind that the more you choose the briefer each session is likely to be.

For example, you may want to cover Introduction to Social Housing in the morning, and then cover Anti-Social Behaviour and Tenant Involvement in the afternoon. Or you may want a range of mini-sessions to include all of the above throughout a full day. Or you may want one or two subjects covered in a half-day session. It's really up to you - the choice is yours. You could even change the people who attend each session to give you extra flexibility and to make your money go even further!

So, what does it cost?

For a full day's training, regardless of the number of subjects covered, the cost will be £550 plus VAT. For a half-day session, again regardless of the subjects, the cost would be £350 plus VAT. Depending upon your location, there may be some reasonable travelling costs.

We would discuss your specific training needs with you and tailor each session to your particular circumstances. Please call David on 07986 246406 to book your session or to discuss your choices. Alternatively, email at david@learning4housing.co.uk

We look forward to hearing from you.
